The Greatest Showman Was Social Justice Done Correctly

The Greatest Showman was one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time. Unlike the usual drivel that comes out of the anus of Hollywood, this film had great acting, great music, and above all, a great message. What was the message? It was if you work hard and don't let a physical deformity hold you back, then you can make a decent living in this world and have a good life. Nowadays, whenever somebody is disabled or has a deformity, they go to the government for support. Democrats are giving people hand-outs. This does two things: 1. it gives the person just enough to survive (but not be truly happy). 2. It guarantees that these people will be a constant voting block for the Democrat party. This trickery is truly sickening! However, in the Greatest Showman PT Barnum offered a bunch of people with "oddities" something else - the chance to work for him and make a lot of money by giving people a show they have never seen before. This proves that the private sector is greatly superior to the government. These "freaks" would've hardly been given anything by the government. Instead, by working for Barnum, they were able to make a lot of money and do a job that they truly loved and were proud of.

This movie also dabbled slightly into racial issues. It did this correctly. Let's keep in mind this movie takes place in the late 1800s. Black people in America really were treated horribly in the late 1800s. In modern society African-Americans are treated equally. They have every right and privileges that white Americans have. This is why it makes me sick that Black Lives Matter is seen as some great civil rights group, on par with the civil rights activists of the late 1800s-mid 1900s. Black Lives Matter is a bunch of bullshit! However, in this movie it accurately portrays the hatred that was shown towards black people in the late 1800s. The black characters in this movie rise above the hate and find a home in PT Barnum's circus. It is heavily implied that Barnum pays all of his performers very well, and that they are all financial successes.

It shouldn't matter if you're disabled. It shouldn't matter if you're a freak. It shouldn't matter if you have an oddity. Going to the government is NOT the answer. The right way to do things is to work for a true self-made man like Barnum in the private sector. Democrats will try to tell you that you can't do anything. They'll tell you the government is the only way. They're wrong! There is another way! This awesome film proves it. A midget became a General. A bearded lady became a great singer for the whole world to see. A 500 pound man became a great attraction. And two African-American siblings became world famous trapeze artists. This is how things should be done.

I don't know much about the real PT Barnum, but I know that this film was a real treat to watch.
