Wrestling is Real

I don't understand why many people think professional wrestling is fake. Wrestling is NOT fake. Wrestling is a legitimate sport. When Hulk Hogan lifted up Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania 3 in front of a crowd over 93,000 people it was all real. There is no faking the action, blood, sweat and tears of a wrestling match. If wrestling was fake, why would Shawn Michaels have tears of joy in his eyes the very first time he won the WWE championship? If wrestling wasn't real, shouldn't Shawn Michaels have just walked off to the back emotionless? This proves wrestling is real: after years of struggling, Shawn Michaels finally reached the top of the mountain, and he couldn't help but display pure joy.

Many wrestlers have received severe injuries over the years. If wrestling was fake, there wouldn't be any injuries. Every wrestler would walk away just fine in a staged fight. Professional wrestling matches aren't staged fights. They're the real deal. When a wrestler steps into the ring he puts his body on the line in a grueling competition of physicality.

Many people get confused by the term "sports entertainment." Detractors of professional wrestling believe this proves wrestling is fake. They're wrong! Sports entertainment refers to the fact that there is some theatricality during the shows. Each wrestler has their own custom entrance theme. Each wrestler has their own unique introduction. Many wrestlers even get pyro during their entrances. Furthermore, many wrestlers get on the mic and try to get inside their opponent's head with derogatory words. A lot of wrestlers will get on the mic and talk about how great they are - Ric Flair was a master of this! The matches have to get promoted, so a little bit of theatrics goes a long way to sell tickets.

Wrestling is just as real as every other sport. Anybody who thinks wrestling is fake is just dumb!
